As disruptive products go, Vigor certainly ticks a lot of boxes. Designed in-house at V2O, these Full Shield, Wrap Around Cycling Glasses are a distinctly British Innovation; made as a direct response to genuine Customer demands.

Our brief was simple; "Improve the riding experience for prescription-wearing Cyclists, at a price that makes Vigor a no-brainer".

The result? Glad you asked... A milestone in performance eyewear!

Vigor's unique Frame Design, allows for the direct integration of full field-of-view prescription lenses in the most unobtrusive way possible.

Simple? Yes. Logical? Yes. Done before? No!

We hear words like "Liberating", "Transformed" and "Game Changing" a lot!

With the only other alternatives  being extremely expensive 'laser etched shields', or REALLY nasty clip-on inserts, we're pretty confident that Vigor will enhance your ride, 'per pound spent', more dramatically than anything else on the market.

VIGOR Full Shield Prescription Sports Glasses White / Red Mirrored - tinted
I ordered a pair of these to replace an older set with an older prescription; these were Rudy Projects. The Vigor glasses are superb! The lenses are spot on and super sharp and clear; the lens is large and fills the whole space so there is very little distortion (important if like me you have astigmatism). The tint is good too- reduces glare but also seems to enhance contrast so the view is really crisp and bright. The design of the frame is also great- good wrap around, so they are excellent at keeping the wind out. They are also ridiculously light- mine weigh just 49g!!! That's less than 2 ounces. Plus they just look REALLY cool! Just buy a pair.

VIGOR Full Shield Prescription Sports Glasses White / Transition / Photochromic
Mine is a complex prescription andthe glassess work perfectly. They arrived on time, with good packaging and a smart storage box. Communication was mixed and no instructions for the extra shield.

VIGOR / 'V+' Frame-Only Refundable Trial | Full Shield Cycling Glasses Vigor (original) / Blue / Ice Blue Mirrored - tinted
Ordered these on 15th May 2024 and because I ordered them with prescription bifocal lenses delivery was around 4 weeks later which is not bad. I have previously tried wearing off-the-shelf bifocal safety glasses, wearing my normal glasses under full shield cycling glasses and sticking lenses onto my sunglasses with mixed results. First impressions were good as the glasses came with a sturdy case including a liveried drawstring bag and a large cleaning cloth. The frame is not as stylish as the big brands but perfectly acceptable and being understated may appeal to some. From the inside you can clearly see the individual lenses fixed either side and first though this was a bit clumsy looking. However, from the outside the full width shield style mirrored lens does look very cool and stylish. Weight is 50g compared with 33g for my Sun God (non-prescription) Vulcans. I need prescription lenses to read my headunit on the bike and since my eyes tend to water at speed full width big glasses are a must. First rides with these were a week in Sierra Nevada in Spain so hot and very sunny. The higher weight wasn't an issue at all, the glasses are very comfortable. I can read my headunit perfectly even when descending at speed. I could also see longer range very clearly. Just occasionally when cornering at speed on the drops and trying to look around the corner the chunky part of the frame above the nosepiece seemed to interfere with vision but moving my head slightly improved things. An extra bonus was being able to read menus at the cafe stops without resorting to separate reading glasses so less to carry! I chose bifocals over varifocals on the advice of other cyclists and chose 'segment height' of 25% which seems just right. Protection from the bright sunlight seemed perfect. So in summary I am really pleased. I've used these glasses back in the UK when riding a road bike only evening time trial (so no TT helmets with visors allowed) and again they were great. About the only way the glasses could be improved would be to somehow incorporate the prescription into the full shield itself so having only one layer of lens and use a flashier designer frame but I suspect that would incur a much greater cost. Couldn't really be much happier with these glasses - highly recommend.

VIGOR Full Shield Prescription Sports Glasses White / Polarised - Red Mirrored
They look good but the coloured lenses alter the colour of human flesh so everyone looks like they are dying eg end stage liver failure or catastrophic anaemia. Quite disconcerting.

VIGOR Full Shield Prescription Sports Glasses Blue / Transition / Photochromic
The VIGOR glasses are excellent. My prescription lenses (varifocal, 1.6high-index) are crystal clear. The glasses are well made and provide good eye protection when cycling. The photochromic shield works well, but, as a minor critisism, does not go very dark in bright sunlight. Overall a very good purchase.

Great looking glasses and being able to make with prescription lenses has made them the only ones I now use.
