Instructions for Glazing or Returns

So you've tried your new, innovative Vigor frames? Ready to change the game?

You have the option to use our trusted partner to get them glazed, or take them to your preferred optician. Instructions for fitting and glazing are included below.

1. Purchase prescription lenses from our glazing partner

If you would prefer, you can send your Vigor frames for prescription glazing at our trusted UK based glazing partner. To get a quote and instructions, you will need to:

  • Provide your contact information, including your email and phone number
  • Attach a scanned copy or clear photo of your prescription
  • NB. You will be directed to a trusted third party who will provide an independent quote depending on your prescription

2. Glazing instructions for your preferred optician

Frame Specifications:

  • Structure: PC front shield fitted over prescription lenses
  • Material: TR90 with a premium rubberised finish
  • Shield width: 145mm Height: 55m Temple Length: 173mm
  • Lens Base Curve: 4 Base

Lens Blank Specifications:

  • 1.6 max; Polycarbonate or Trivex
  • Minimum Diameter: 80mm (PD dependent)
  • Compatible with 4 Base Curve

Prescription Limits:

  • Sphere: Up to ±4.00D
  • Cylinder: Up to ±2.00D
  • Prism: Not recommended due to curvature

Fitting:

Please ensure customer prescription is set for their cycling stance.

If no customised heights provided, varifocals can be set at +5 above datum as standard for a cycling stance.

Glazing Instructions:

  • Use a digital tracer for accuracy
  • Ensure lens blanks are centered to avoid decentration
  • Cut lenses with an angle of 10-12 degrees to match frame curvature

2. Edging:

  • Use an edger that compatible with the base curve
  • Smooth edges to avoid stress points and sharp edges

3. Mounting and Adjustments:

  • Recommended to gently heat the frame to insert lenses without causing distortion
  • Ensure lenses sit flush with the frame without gaps

Please include your order number and reason for return in the message section. Please also indicate if you would like a returns label to print (or email us) per the instructions below this form.

NB - We will deduct £10 from the refund to cover the cost of processing and providing the label.
